The choosing ceremony. That's when I get to leave behind this horrid life and faction. 
You see, I knew the life of Abnegation was not for me. We led the simple life. Selfless and dedicated to helping others. 
Hell, even if I was, I wouldn't stay in this faction. I mean, who would with a father like mine? A father who is an abusive drunk.
My brother had the right idea by leaving two years ago. He left and never looked back, and I really can't blame him. He needed a better life, a he could not get that here. 
Now it was my turn.




In this, Tris is the same age as Jodi, and so are the others.
