The choosing ceremony. That's when I get to leave behind this horrid life and faction.
You see, I knew the life of Abnegation was not for me. We led the simple life. Selfless and dedicated to helping others.
Hell, even if I was, I wouldn't stay in this faction. I mean, who would with a father like mine? A father who is an abusive drunk.
My brother had the right idea by leaving two years ago. He left and never looked back, and I really can't blame him. He needed a better life, a he could not get that here.
Now it was my turn.
In this, Tris is the same age as Jodi, and so are the others.

Undercover
He's 18, she's 16. They may be young but they are deadly serious, they are undercover. What about if it wasn't out of fear that Four joined Dauntless, or that it wasn't because Tris wasn't selfless enough, what about if they joined because they were under cover? Tris is put on a mission to go undercover in Dauntless to see why all the Divergents are going missing. That was until she met Four, who she finds out has a secret. {BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? Four ran off with Tris while I stayed with Eric but I want my brother however I don't want to leave Eric. I have no direction anymore I am confused without my brother I need him to guide me but alas he does not consider me a sister anymore but a traitor to dauntless or has he forgiven me because I helped Tris probably not he is stubborn headed.
