Sarah McArthur attended her best friends, Angela Butler, twenty second birthday party where she is brutally raped and beaten by a group of attendees.

After her assault she is determined to get her life back in order but with the constant fear of them coming back for more she finds herself living her life watching over her shoulder. 

So, what does she do? She goes in search for them with the help of Angela's older brother, Jason Butler who happens to be a detective. He'd upped and moved to Chicago, Illinois from Charlotte, North Carolina. 

After learning about what had happened to his sister's best friend, Jason is determined to help her catch the men who hurt her and make sure they pay for their crimes.
