As is overtly evident, this is my first story. I'm using it as an initial assessment of my writing, and any suggestions or critiques would be appreciated. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the first book in my collection: Nuclear Deterrent.
Mutually Assured Destruction. That's what they were calling it. Its technical meaning: an attack or series of attacks that result in the destruction of both the attacker and defender. What it meant to me: don't let it get to that point. There was no denying it, I had fully invested myself into halting this confrontation, causing a cessation of tension between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. As a result, it didn't matter what were to happen, I had to stop this... even if it meant my death. Though, that wasn't fazing me at all. Probably because everyone else was facing the same treacherous fate.
