Willow wants to die. She wants to be with her parents that were claimed by death in an untimely car accident. When she tries to kill herself to be with her parents death confronts her and offers something only a fool would refuse.
He offers her to be his reaper. She is to eat and hold souls in exchange that she gets to see her parents at the beginning or at the end of each month.
2 years later she is fully fledged soul eater and is enjoying it, but what happens when death orders her to go to human school to learn their ways and catches the interest of a curious and very unhuman boy who can't stop thinking about her?
