"You can't leave me," the words spilt out as I choked on a sob,
"Look around. You have people that love you, need you. So right here, right now... This is where I leave you."

She had it right.
Everything thought out and her life given to her after years of work. The way she would study for hours, avoid all the dark places. Until she stumbled into him.

His brooding smile could throw off the toughest of men and he tall figure could intimidate the bravest. Yet to young Jasey Rae, Luke's smile was comforting, welcoming and his tall figure meant warm cuddles.

Luke was running.
From guns, from heartache, from all the dark places.
He never wanted to care or get hurt, but in the process of meeting Jasey, he felt them both at the same time.

He was a strong wind, she was flooding rain, together they were a perfect hurricane. Trying to escape each other.

But will they ever?
