His best friend, Ralin, tries to help him out, only he tends to push her away further and further and eventually finds he needs her more than ever and she isn't there to help him. He is in a crappy situation when something big happens with him and his mother and father. And his best friend.
Once he thinks he has no one he may do something very rash. Then he lives.
