Owen Vermont is nobody. At least, he says that he is. Plagued by visions of his troubled beginning, Owen lives a quiet life, his only friend being his foster brother Jim Rainer. He's constantly followed and attacked by the HDA, who made him who he is today.
Only Jim, HDA and Owen himself know of his uncanny abilities- undefined super-strength, extreme durability, and the power to grow parts of or his whole body to gargantuan levels.
But after saving another superhuman one night, Owen gains a new friend, Kimberly Bryce, a powerful telepath. She sees great potential in Owen, and convinces him to stop fighting the HDA and defeat them at the source- but this puts him and his friends in more danger than ever before.
In order to keep everything he loves safe, Owen will have shut up, suit up, and become a hero. He is Behemoth.

"And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth's mightiest heroes and heroines found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born--to fight the foes no single superhero could withstand! Through the years, their roster has prospered, changing many times, but their glory has never been denied! Heed the call, then--for now, the Avengers Assemble!" Kneeling behind a throne, a clothed, armored figure known as the other, bows. "The Tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world. A human world. They would wield its power.' The other faces a horned shaped shadow. Loki is handed the Chitauri scepter, a long golden handle, fitted with a blue gem encircled with silver blades. "But our ally knows its workings as they never will. He is ready to lead. And our force, our Chitauri, will follow." Tens of thousands of Chitauri stand ready in a seething mass of neat rows and columns....the ground simply quakes. "The world will be his. The universe yours. And the humans, what can they do but burn?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Ever since a child Kaya has been trained to be an Assassin since she could walk. Her parents were secret agents and so were her grandparents in World War 2. She had always wanted to be like them. As a child she was different and only her parents knew about her ability to fly. Kaya was the only on who knew about this since her parents died in an undercover mission. She hides it and only has to use her power when she needs to. Kaya thinks that if everyone knew about her ability she'd be some freak of nature. Kaya doesn't know where her ability came from and now she has to help find the teseract? I don't own any superheroes except for Kaya.

Heroes at Heart

18 parts Complete

"I've tried telling them I'm only fifteen. That no sane government would force a boy my age to fight crime. 'But Max, you're a superhero! Isn't this what you want?' Actually, no. I just kind of want to get through high school. Then we'll talk about this 'superhero' business." Max Owens is your average high school sophomore. Well, he tries to be, at least. At fifteen, he's got more important things to do than fight the infamous Vinicus Cauldwell. With his single mother having recently lost her job, Max is determined to help his family get back up on its feet. The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. But most of us are Heroes at Heart. (Based on a writing prompt / story request by tumblr user "fallingivy")
