Sophie sat looking over the tree leaves as they fell, when she noticed something. She looked over and saw a familiar face. This peeked her interest causing her to fall off the tree. As she opened her eyes, she thought the figure moved further back. She got up on her feet, and started to walk towards it. As she did, the figure started to come into view... Then she screamed. There it stood. The monster from her dreams. No! They were more like nightmares. Sophie swung around, and started to run.

„The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?", she asked, the sound of her voice strained, as if she hadn't been talking for a long time. The boy sat next to her, staring forward into the leaving sun. He didn't even look at the young woman when she spoke. Yet still he could feel himself, only a small part of himself, longing to hear more of her voice. It used to calm him down, singing soft lullabies whenever nightmares haunted him, or telling stories to him and his brother. It was the only comfort he could rely on. And he ended it before it could poison him. Silence filled the vast empty space. Only a single Rowan tree swayed in the non existent wind, its branches reaching down where the two figures sat, sheltering them from any harm that may come their way. It was time to leave this place again. He couldn't stay here for long. He hugged his knees tight, unconsciously swaying back and forth as he did so. Maybe, if he hugged himself hard enough, he could stay here and listen to one of her stories again? Just one short story. His efforts were in vain. "I wonder what's written there," Jenny said. "Entrance to another world," I said, staring at the words. "How do you know what's written there? What language is it?" "I don't know. Somehow, it seems familiar." "How?" "I don't know." I began to feel the words on the tree, then I began to trace the words with my finger. Jenny clung to me as usual. When I traced the last letter of the last word, suddenly a blue light appeared. The light grew into a large ring around the pitch black portal. Without understanding why, I moved towards it. Jenny tried to stop me but she was small and I was strong. We both disappeared from where we stood. Then fell to the ground in the forest. But this forest was different. This was definitely not America.
