"Did you know?" I ask Draco, unable to see him clearly through the tears.
I watch his eyes close, squeezing out tears of his own. We stand an arms length apart, but I can't find it inside myself to comfort him. He doesn't answer.
"Did you know about what happened to me?" I ask him again, more forcefully this time.
He reaches for me, but I step away. His eyes plead with me, for what I am unsure. Before he can speak, I turn away. The corridor ahead is dark, but the truth of what Draco has done is darker.
