Six months have passed since the incident with Team Flare that left all of Lumoise City in disrepair. It hasn't been an easy journey, but the residents of the region have proven once again that they are stronger than their weaknesses. They have rebuilt and everything seems to be going right once more.
Until one gym leader begins to have these...dreams. Dreams that aren't really dreams. Visions of a different time and a different life altogether. At about the same time, earthquakes begin to rip across the region, having no explainable source or epicenter. They appear to be caused by some kind of unnatural being.
And this is all extraordinary timing for our heroes to converge on the city for a brief competition; featuring some of the greatest competitors from around the world. Naturally, that includes one particular trainer and performer.
Now, armed with their friendship and very little knowledge of what they are up against, our group of heroic friends must journey into the heart of the conflict, put right one of the region's greatest mysteries, and maybe even save the world in the process.
