He finds the strength to heal his broken self in the process, after all, without Rachel he felt blind, deaf and dumb. As if his world disappeared in a snap of fingers. Too bad she's an inconvenience and quite frankly, to them, not wanted. This is a mature, slow-burn romance with multiple lovers the main character doesn't have to choose between. There is slight 'bullying' of the male protagonists to the main character. But obviously, they end up falling harder. ;)
