The green pastures, the blue sky, the stillness of peace. Adam had loved his life on the farm.  Away from the clamor of crowds and the violence of the city, it was the ideal place to raise his small family.  Surprises didn't happen. Day after day his beautiful wife would help him with the chores, and with every passing second their bay boy grew. 

Until that accursed sword came to him. 

Gone were those quiet days of farm life. Adam is thrown into a world he wanted no part of. A war is being lost in the kingdom. While many see Adam's sword as the answer to it all, the consequences of its use haunt him. With every victory the sword brings, Adam must give something up. A pinky, his sense of smell, one of his eyes. It's all fair game to that sword. 

The sword was no gift from the gods, it was a punishment to anyone who touched it.
