She and her 17 year old brother, Rex, run away with all of their savings and just two backpacks of their belongings. After they have embarked on their journey, they realize Hunter has joined them on their hunt by sneaking in the car. As they continue their adventure, Amethyst finds herself drawn to Hunter and more distracted from their quest.
