Kaleehalani is a 26 year old woman fresh from college with a degree in Journalism. Using her degree, she runs an online blog called "To Be Chocolate Like Me" to uplift other women with the same insecurity as her own. Everywhere she would go, she would be teased about how white her teeth were but how dark she was. Her desire to create her blog was inspired by her ex boyfriend who actually helped her confidence, but that all changed when she realized he was just using her to get to her light skinned "Bestfriend." Just when she is in the process of building her brick wall up, one night at a Dave East concert changes her entire life in a way that she could have never imagined- both good and bad.
After so many months of fighting a battle of unspoken anxiety and depression, she has lost all trust in anyone that isn't her, even her parents who never seemed to care about anything but their money from the start.
