This is something I had to write for, let's say, an "advanced" class, of some sorts. Each student was to construct a six paragraph story or description of some sort revolving around a single sentence. This exercise was to help us develop our "show, don't tell" writing skills. We got to pick from a limited list of sentences, and I chose "The city is beautiful", hence the title of this piece. I decided to post it on here just to see what people would think of it. If you like it, or would like to make suggestions, please comment, or message me. Enjoy! (I got both of the pictures I used from Google Images. They are not mine, so I do not take credit for them in any way, shape, or form.)
This story takes place in Astoria, Oregon.
Six girls attending Astoria High make unlikely bonds and try to navigate the choppy waters of high school.
I would love feedback.
What do you like?
What don't you like?
Have I made any spelling or grammatical errors?(probably)
All constructive criticism makes me a better writer and storyteller.
Thank you! :)
