Having a relationship is the furthest things from Kay Gallagher's mind. As a traveller who had just arrived on the lands of North America after decades of absence, his only interest in the land was to talk to the two men of his kind stupid enough to adopt human lovers in the middle of an all-out war. Relationship doesn't mean freedom, and Kay is dead set on maintaining his freedom. All talk about conscience and morals can go to hell; Kay only values his freedom above all else.

It least that is what he thinks before meeting Vanda Riodan, the craziest woman on the North American Council. Kay's role in North America changes constantly for Vanda: a model, a pervert, a friend, a brother to her master, a lover.

But 'Kay' Gallagher is hiding a secret from her... something that could possibly change the whole supernatural world that she has been living in.
