April 14th, 2 million people developed powers. A curse, as many call it, although not all. A society called Fiare began to eliminate all who had obtained such powers, killing, capturing, testing, all they laid hands on insisting they were a danger and threat to humanity. So, the apocalyptics, the ones who obtained powers, made bases in hidden locations out of sight, surviving as well as possible. 10 years into the future four sisters discover they have unusual super powers. While reading the journals of their recently deceased mother she supernaturally speaks to them from the past. (Mary died suddenly due to a newly released hyper-virus by The Powers That Be.) The young women discover not only had their mother been quenching their powers since they were babies but through her journals is now urging them to to do the exact opposite. "Rise up! *You were born for such a time as this." However the recent abandonment by their mother in death and their father in grief has left them struggling as they've been thrust into adulthood overnight. The world desperately needs them. Will they stop bickering and worrying about boys, fashion and proms long enough to save the day? *Esther 4:4 Gifts: Baby in the corner Beth (19) has the ability to draw her heart's desires. She thinks it's only while using her big box of 64 crayons. She doesn't realize the power is in her mind's eye and not her writing implements. Jo (20) can teleport. Of course she doesn't always stick her landings. At first her landings are as messy as is her life. She's lost her mother, her family home, her faith and now thinks she may be losing her mind. Supercilious self-absorbed Amy (17) has the uncanny ability to get others to do what she wants. She says, ever so sweetly, "I'd prefer..." Dad always called it "wrapping others around her little finger syndrome." If she wanted she could ask a perfect stranger to hand over his car keys and he'd have to oblige. The oldest sister Meg (21) has dreams and visions about the world's near future. She's also very intuitive. Perhaps if she were better at seeing her own future maybe her personal life wouldn't be in shambles?

That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. A futuristic apocalypse plagues the world. A virus was created in order to control the rising population but it got out of hand. The side effects were unpredictable and deadly. Resulting in a transformation. Humans were turned into disfigured creatures with sharp teeth, soulless black eyes, and elongated limbs; that crave only two things. Human flesh and spreading their disease. The members of high society had a city closed off and protected while forcing anyone else out, leaving the lesser folk to deal with the consequences of the governments creation.

Everyone was born with a power, you're considered lucky if you get two. A group of four, called Clooless, were that lucky people. They were YouTubers, just having fun and messing around. Zombies were always myths, a story, a joke. Until, in 2034 a power plant exploded, sending a green, acid looking liquid down the streets of North Dakota. That's relatively far from Texas, except what the group doesn't know, is that the said liquid has turned everyone who touched it into zombies. Their power is, fortunately, taken away from them as they become brain eating zombies in the course of a week. Now, they are making their way around the U.S.A, slowly approaching the other states. And by just one week, enough people have been affected and have made their way into Texas. And now, they are banging through every door.

They decided on peace over fighting, and the Watchers weren't happy. They decided upon a new form of torture: attachment. Time still ticked down for them, so the Watchers thought it would be interesting to send them something they'd never watch grow up: a child. They loved their new children dearly, but knew they couldn't be there with them for most of their lives. Until Grian discovered that the children had infinite time, but only one life. He found a way to get his child to send him time so he could live longer. He shared this with the other players, and they've been almost immortal ever since. The only catch was they couldn't take too much time off of their children without them getting close to death. Grian became a Timekeeper, and all the other players began working to raise their kids and make a new civilisation, a new way of life. Luckily, the Watchers were still entertained. The rest of the players? They won't be entertained much longer.

Thousands of years ago, humans died out. Decades later, the nuclear radiation in certain areas was low enough to not kill the animals, but high enough to change them. They transformed into something better than animals and humans. They became what humans called "furries", no suit required. Eventually, the new, evolved animals built a society not too different from what the humans had. Something was different though. They had a very low probability of evolving again. 1 in 10 million low. These animals were quite rare, and as the centuries passed, they became known as "The Evolved". This is the story about how one Evolved changes everything.
