"Headlights suddenly came around the building in front of us. Before I could react, Kason pushed me down flat against the seat. His body pressed into mine as he hid us from the view of the headlights. It must be the security team leaving.
My vision focused on his jaw line. I couldn't help it, it was right there. My body seemed to finally sense just what was happening. Heat rushed to my face as my heart picked up pace. I was hyper aware of every part of him that was over me. Why am I blushing like a middle schooler with a crush?
Kason finally turned his head down to me and our eyes locked. He seemed to just realize how we were laying.
"So... this is awkward." I breathed, trying to ignore the fact I could feel his heartbeat.
Kason raised an eyebrow in amusement. "That's what you choose to say in this moment?"
I raised my eyebrow as well. "Was I supposed to say something else?"
He smirked. "Maybe."
