It's the future, and a war has knocked out half of the human race. The jungle has taken over most of the land, and people live in tribes or groups deep within the forest. Every group has a population of at least 300, and all of the tribes are against each other. Naikee lives in a group called the Sowadan group, and they live in the south region of the world. Each group is forbidden to go past the gates that hide their villages. Naikee is sick and tired of living within the walls of her villages, and she's always wondered what it would be like to go past them. On the morning of her Celebration of Life (basically a birthday), she finds a whole in the wall and runs past the gates and into the wild. After days of traveling she accidentally runs into a group called the Kaiboo, which are one of the most dangerous groups in the world. They are known for their cannibalism, though no one has ever dared to enter their gates. Before anyone can capture her, a boy named Mika runs into her and takes her to a secret underground storage. He only goes to her and talks to give her the meals at morning, afternoon, and night. After several days of this same thing, Naikee finally confronts him and makes him tell her whats going on. They get to talking, and he comes back to check on her more often now. As she develops a crush and they fall in love, they don't realize but they might be changing the course of history. He left his daughter to die while he recused his mistress's Amber's daughter instead of his own daughter. He assumed that the recuse team would make it to his wife and kid and assumed that Ruby was in more danger then Rini was right now, and he left with someone else and someone else's kid. He didn't even go back to see if his daughter made it out alright, he left her, he left her mother as her daughter screamed out for her daddy to come back. As she was being crushed to death when all her mother could do was cry and hold her the best she could and trying to lift the heavy stone off of her daughter's body. As she screamed out for help from anybody. Until she was recused by a familiar friendly face that's been in her life since the day she married her Husband. But when they reached the hospital, it was far too late to save Rini's life, she was gone leaving behind a brokenhearted mother and Serenity wanted justice for this. Serenity strikes out for revenge and files for divorce and wants to take everything they love. They had taken her daughter from her. Her death happened because her father abandoned Rini for another woman and child who wasn't even trapped or hurt. So, Serenity wants to make Amber pay for everything. Darien too would get what's coming to him. She was pissed and she had no reasons to hold back her own rampage for revenge. So, Serenity strikes out for revenge. Will she ever be able to love again? Or open her heart? again? Read it and see. Tears might be shed; I know I cried writing this to be honest.
