Sterling is 16 and has just moved from Maine to Florida. She blames herself for her parents divorce and hates herself every day because of it. But what can she do. A new town and a fresh start. School doesn't start for another 3 months so, might as well have fun. One night when she's walking the streets, she meets a boy. Pierce has had a hard year, his brother died and his parents are alcoholics, so making friends hasn't been easy. One night changes everything and they become close friends in a matter of seconds.
