jennifer alonzo was an overweight, clumsy but intelligent high school student with big dreams and aspirations. luke hemmings, on the other hand, was a popular, great, average but violent high school student who held a big reputation but bad acts.

a year passed, and these two part ways to chase their dreams. jennifer is studying at uni for psychology, while luke is pursuing his dream as a guitarist for his band, 5 seconds of summer. both have transformed into something new from the previous life they had when they were at their youth.
