« WAM book two point five » A lifetime of training, routines, rituals, all thrown away. Ten of his elders, his own parents, telling him he's worthless, a disgrace. Aidan might have been able to live with that if not for the knowledge that his brother is a murderer because of him. He's had years to get over this, but it never gets easier. Now all of a sudden Aidan is expected to put that behind him, pretend it never happened, and step up into the very role he had been forbidden. The disgraced former heir to the North American pack, now an alpha to a pack of nomads. What a cruel joke. His life had been on hold for so long, he forgot how to move forward. After all the innocent lives he had seen ruined in the wake of his poor decision making, how could he simply move forward? He had seen for himself just how volatile their kind could be. Every week, he sits beside temptation, and every week he balks at the thought of what could happen to her if just one thing went wrong.
