Jaxon and Auréa were perfect for each other. When they were together no problems could bring them down. That is until one day, when Auréa was walking back home from school during a storm, she was struck by lightning! She was only a block away from the apartment and Jaxon could see it all. Just before it all happened he stared out the window, daydreaming about what they would become in the future, then it happened. Time froze, Jaxon's heart stopped... She was gone. He yelled out to the top of his lungs "Aauurrréééaaaaaa!!!!!" He ran to the strike point, there was no trace of her left. Jaxon fell to his knees, crying, yelling ''Why her?!'', then it hit him... He just lost the most important thing in his life. What was he to do next?

Kenna and Olivia Burns have had curveballs thrown at them from before they were even born. Now that they're in their last years of college, they just want to start their lives how they want: free. Free of the expectations from their douchebag father. Free of the burdens and traumas from their past. Free to help their mothers after all the sacrifices they gave for them. When an ancient evil awakens, and the girls are chosen to vanquish it, they realize the normal life that they want is far from the destiny that is planned for them.
