Chelsea was sitting on her front porch watching her grandpa saddle up the horses. She had only been there a few hours of her summer because her father had been transferred to a new camp in Afghanistan for military purposes. Chelsea said to her grandfather ,"Why did my dad send me here to ride horses for the summer? Why did he tell me he wouldn't see me for a long time? Why can't I live with mom?"
"Chelsea you may not understand now since you're only 15 but your parents sent you here for a reason."

I hope you like the book, there is going to a mild amount of swearing and lots of drinking and smoking. Everything is made up beside the state they live in.
