Cheyenne and Alysia Astor are the stars of the social season. These twins are each others only friend among all the other back-stabbing and gossipy debutantes. It's well-known the the Astors rule society. Will they get what they want? Or more than they bargained for?

Edward William DeVries is the heir to a great fortune. It's his duty to marry in one season's time. Will he choose Cheyenne? Clearly Cheyenne Astor is the best by every standard: looks, dowry, and connections. Or will bitter secrets ruin them?

Rhys DeVries is the second son of the DeVries family. Everyone knows that a second son is practically useless: connections, but no money to accompany his name. They should have a profession, but not any unrespectable one. A second son has three options: military, church or medicine. However he admires art- of all kinds, though he loves painting the most. Alysia catches his eye- not a bad choice as she is still an Astor. They could have done worse. Will they realize that they are valuable and not useless as society deems them? Or does society and its norms tear them apart?
