In 2080, the world has gone back to the way of monarchy and aristocracy, due to the evolution of the human race evolving and developing "powers" or "gifts" (causing many a problem). Phillip Lester is the heir to the thrown of the most powerful family in the world- but when tragedy strikes, he is sent back in time to grow up until he is ready to take the throne. Dan Howell, one of the most powerful beings in their time, is sent back with the heir and is the only person in this world who is able to bring Phil back- when the time is right of course.
He is told to protect and guide the boy, but he is also told to build no emotional connection toward the young prince- but nothing ever goes as planned.

Broken Rules - Phan
Dan Howell had been at a Catholic school all of his life. He ate, breathed and lived as a good Christian boy should. However, it didn't fit him, he didn't feel right promising himself to a God he didn't fully believe in. With countless rules Dan wasn't sure he could live his life to eternally, he starts to wonder if this life is his, or his parents. Suddenly, as he begins to doubt everything he's ever been taught, a reformer is brought to St Patricia's, somebody who has the power to change everything; as cliche as it sounds. Dan begins to feel things he ought not to as a good Christian boy, but not every rule is okay to be broken. DISCLAIMER: This story is mature because it will have some self harm in it. It will also have some swearing due to that's how Dan actually talks. This is not about Phan being real. I'm sorry to disappoint you. Now onto what it is really about: Dan Howell is becoming more and more depressed. His family, his community, not even his best friend, Phil Lester, can help him. He believes he's a lost cause, and he's a mistake. He tries to hide it best he can, but some nights, it's just too much. During this, he's lost his will to smile. A boy raised around religion and the discounts for sin, Phil Lester is definitely not one to go around looking for trouble. With his father being the vicar of their local church, Phil has a lot to live up to and has to keep his reputation high if he's to be accepted. He doesn't do parties or drinking; the thought of sex alone is enough to terrify him. So it's no wonder that when Dan Howell, a boy who embraces the life of parties and rebellious acts, shows up to join the church program, Phil starts having trouble keeping himself sane as he tries to teach Dan the path to God. The United Kingdom isn't so united anymore. Rebellions nobody can even remember the cause of, cause panic throughout what's left of Great Britain. The Government have one too many secrets and Dan Howell is about to know them all. Of course, it isn't his fault his dad's an egotistical liar and his mum's a sociopath. And it definitely is not his fault he was captured by the Rebels. However, it was completely his fault when a super-advanced highly dangerous humanoid species begins slowly taking over. Oops? Just for clarification: this is a Phan (Danisnotonfire x AmazingPhil) fic! Disclaimer: I don't own any of these people because that would be slavery and slavery is illegal, also I'm not that rich.
