At least, that's what the faded sign on the substandard motel on the corner of Fourth and Fremont Street reads. For the boy in front, it's appealing only 'cause it's just that unappealing: the rooms have a scent of asbestos and maybe just a dash of formaldehyde. Whenever the cops come, it has a habit of disappearing right before your very eyes, along with the people inside.
For Jade Williams (formerly Jack Williams), it's the perfect place. She's been wanting her life to do one of two things: end, or restart.
But as she's on her way to the Hotel to swing from a rope, she sees the teen hobo. Feeling sorry for him, she gives him all the cash in her bag; won't need it when she's dead, will she?
But the boy gives her a choice: die, and face the Reaper, or stay at the Hotel for three days.
Jade Williams checks in with the strange front desk man, and finds that the Hotel might be more than meets the eye.
Just like the Black Portal Mirror, which will reveal to her her destiny.
