Hey there. I'm Lucas. I live in a world where the unexpected happen. It just so happens that I'm the unexpected. After an accident, I've become able to control light and energy. Believe me, it's cooler than it sounds.
However, I live in a world where people with 'powers' is still a myth. Which is really a blessing if you ask me. I don't have to devote my life to putting evil people behind bars, I can just live my life as a normal teenager going through school, worrying about my friends, my grades, and the girl I like.
The 'super' part is just an extra. Whilst I live a normal life, I also have to chase down a mysterious case along with another person who has 'powers', and he's becoming even more untrustworthy by the minute.
As I slowly unveil the secrets behind my abilities, my life gets thrown into mayhem, and it will put to the test whether or not I am strong enough, both mentally and physically, to be considered a Hero.

(Used to be Burning) If someone had told me that three years after my best friend went missing, I would be the one to stop the impending doom of the human race, just to bring them down myself, I would have called you crazy. But now, it seems I have a newer and crazier reality- One where a couple of teens can pose a threat to the most prominent organization in the world, the truth can change at the flick of a wrist, and everything can mean nothing at all. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. The world is screwed up place. Everyone in it just wants peace when it isn't promised to nobody. We work for ourselves to try to improve our ways of life only for someone who has more to take it. Everything is about monetary gain and if you don't got the green you better have a way to survive. Help wont come when you need it. There is no home and having shame is a simple thing of the past. We all tell people to have hope. We tell them that if they work hard enough that change will eventually come and with that change they will find their happy ending. I've watched humans kill for that happy ending. I've committed murder when a tyrant thought to torture the only good thing in this world I have ever found in this fucked up place. Even when I tried to save it, I still lost it. Yeah, you heard right. I am no saint. This world is far from cupcake and t ,rainbows and their isn't not one soul that could tell me different. I have had to fight to survive since the day I lii I broke out of an egg into this world. No one has ever known where I came from and from the moment I got here I've never know any kindness. I have always been the odd one out because I was different. I'm not talking different just because the color of my skin. I'm talking different because when I get well and truly pissed I turn into a vicious monster. This is a #TeenFictionAnotherYearShortStory entry. --- Believe me, when adulting takes place, you forget your naïve little side instantly and are ready to fit yourself in the big boots. But let's say, it's too soon for Olivia Dee. For her, graduation was a ceremony, a consummation of all the misery and guilt she had had to bear, of which none whispered-and she finally had the chance to leave it all behind. But the world's twisted, right? I know what you must be thinking. Why not name this title ' the adventures of Sharkboy, lavagirl and whatever my name is'? Well because that would of ruin the whole story. For this is not really my story, i was not created as a dream. I'm an actual human and I did not come from max, nor planet drool. I was born on earth like every other normal child there is. The only thing different about me is that I have a special power. Although I don't seem to know about this power, nor understand how to use it I'm a main target for everyone. I can rather save everybody from a terrible event or destroy everyone within seconds. Because of this I am very weary around people and shy too. As I try my best to blend in it becomes harder and harder each day to keep my self from exposing this energy. The worse part is I don't even know I have it! Well not until later on. I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Problem is, I'm not so great at controlling whatever the hell it is I've become...Not to mention I'm on the run from my country for a teensy-weensy act of treason while being chased by a shadowy masked mute who may or may not have superhuman abilities too (but is definitely stupid hot under his off-putting disguise). Normal?
There are all those stories out there where the main character has some kind of super power. I find it stupid. What about those stories about someone who's normal? Most defend themselves by saying stories like that aren't interesting and aren't what the reader wants. But not I. I know its because in this world there isn't such a thing called normal. And even when you live in a world of werewolves, vampires, werewolf and vampire hunters, fairies, demons and wizards/warlocks/witches/whatever-you-call-magic-wielding-beings, there still isn't such a thing as normal. Deep down inside, everyone has a power. Everyone has something in them that doesn't make them normal. But not me. I am just a boring little "mundane human" with no power but sight to see the worlds monsters. I don't have any cool super powers. I can't cast spells, or enchant people by making them look in my eyes. I can't wield a sword perfectly the first time I tried. The only thing I'm good at is karate. But that is from 8 years of classes, two times a week. Boring little Hannah is just a little human in the cruel world of beasts. So this is my 'normal' story. Normal? Maybe. (COMPLETE!)Complete
