The current time is 1,578 years before the Battle of Yavin.
The Galactic Republic finds itself on the threshold of collapse, and the backbone of the Republic, the Jedi Order, has remained scattered and unable to help after the Jedi and Sith destroyed each nearly eighteen years ago other in a long and brutal war.
Mika Akusari lives in the simple village Zila on the forest planet Garos IV with her father, a miner, while she contends herself to exploring the depths of Garos's forests and selling anything she can salvage. Despite the peace, she yearns for more.
One day, her call for something more is answered when she stumbles upon the ancient ruins of a Sith shrine. Ambushed by the spirit of a once-slumbering evil, she barely escapes with her life and sanity intact.
A new presence now haunts her mind, and threatens not only her father, but the entire Galactic Republic. And the worst part? This evil wants to claim her for itself.
