Rosie's Father is the lead Scientist on a major experiment. The only problem is, is that Rosie and her family don't really know much about this experiment at all... including what it is actually about or what they are doing for it. Worst of all, her father acts awfully suspicious about it. Rosie and her brother, desperate to find out more end up getting caught into something way more dangerous than they bargained for... Can they discover what the experiment is all about before it is too late?

A nuclear explosion wipes out a small town in Indiana, which either kills, or rewrites the cells of anyone caught in it's range. Some people weren't able to handle it's affects, others have been changed. Everyone who survived was given a supernatural ability. Hallie Osborn was affected by the explosion, and was one of the few people her age who survived, and is taken into a hospital of sorts for people like her. Finn doesn't remember anything outside of the hospital, the first thing he could remember was the chemical tank. He's not sure why he's put in there so often, but isn't allowed to ask many questions. He's eventually introduced to the rest of the gifted, he explains to Hallie his time in isolation, not understanding how important he's become. The doctors and therapists are keeping many things from the gifted, and with the help of Finn, Hallie's going to figure out what.
