Downton Abbey ended in 1926, but what happened after that, what happened, say, 30 years later?

Beginning with a fire which destroys the abbey, this Fanfiction includes a few of the characters from the series, such as George and Sybbie, and a whole host of new ones, such as Laura the Housemaid, Timothy the Butler, and Mary and Matthew, siblings, and heirs to the estate.

I would recommend you read Matthew's Lover before you read Downton 1956 as some of the same characters appear in this book as main characters, and it is better if you know their background.
