He sold the elements for money. The people who bought them, not knowing what they where, passed the necklaces down as treasure to their family from generation to generation. Before Harold got killed by the old protectors, he fell in love with a protector, and had a daughter named Sena. Sena was chosen to be the next protector and keeper of the four main elements to repay the elemental council for her father's sin. Her job, get all the four main elements back together because Earth is on the brink of distraction.
