So in my writing class my teacher had my class do a pre-write before we read the short story "All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury (kudos to him just saying). This is just what I was able to write in a page worth of paper and it was timed so it might not be too great, but I would love you guys to read and vote for it!

Worth the Risk
August & Colin | WRU series | book 1 We take risks. We make mistakes. We lie. We love. We hurt. We lose total control. I took a risk. I paid the price. I made a mistake. I felt the guilt. I lied. I lie. I loved. I try not to. I hurt. I still do. I lost control. I'm losing again. I try to stick to my plan, I try to follow my rules, I try to silence my heart, I try to keep control of the domino stones that represent my life. But one domino fell and the rest just followed. *** "We shouldn't do this," he whispers against my lips. I should applaud him for having the strength to act on that thought because I haven't been able to. At one point I wanted to, but his touches made the impulse to stop vanish. Now, the only thing I want to act on is the longing inside my chest as I think about demolishing the space between us. "Do you want to stop?" I can feel his frown against my forehead. He nudges my nose before placing a featherlight kiss on my mouth. His hands slide over my jawline, his thumbs slowly caressing my cheeks. He gives me another kiss. Slow and deliberately, as if he's still debating the answer to my question as he slicks his tongue over mine. He softly sucks on my bottom lip, dragging it with him when he pulls away. {Highest Rank In Romance: #20- 18 April 2017} "Th-this isn't allowed..." I mutter at the ground, blushing insanely, and not daring to meet his eyes. "Do you think I care?" he scoffs, and scans the dark, empty back hall for students, though nobody ever comes here. "Why are you scared of me?" he notices I won't make eye contact, and lays a finger on the bottom of my chin, lifting my head up to look at him. He's gorgeous, but extremely intimidating... "I'm-I'm not..." I choke out. He slams me up against the wall suddenly, at the exact moment one of the faulty lights above us flickers, and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. He presses his lips to my neck lightly, and I let out a soft moan, as much as I try to resist. He smirks at the effect he has on me, and runs his fingers down my side, pinning my wrist against the wall with his other hand. He sucks on my neck, and I bite back another moan, but fail, resulting in it being louder than the last. If we're caught, I'll get expelled! I have nowhere else to go! "If I took you back to my place, right now, " he whispers in my ear, and I feel his hot breath on my cheek, sending a chill down my spine. The Hot Series (Book 1) Story Of a Mysterious Professor, a girl full of life and Mr. Stranger. ***** He is not just kissing me, I'm feeling like he's telling me how much he loves me through his soft and gentle kiss. His hands travelled down my spine and grasped my waist. He pulled me closer until no space left between us. Our chest rubbed against each other, arousing our desire. I can hear his heartbeat against my chest. He's taking my breath away from me and giving his breath to me. He's stealing my soul with my breath. **** He gave me a grin as they all student left, I averted my eyes to show him my fake anger. He strolled to the door and shut it close. "Sir, what are you doing?" I asked dramatically as he locked the door. He turned around, his lips drawn up into a naughty smile. "I need to spend some private time with my student." He's sauntering to me, gazing at me, having desires in his bewitching black eyes. My heart started racing, only with the thoughts of what he'll do to me. I'm excited to spend some time with my Hottie Professor in the classroom. This is making me excited. I'm looking at him in anticipation. "But your favourite student is still angry with you." I turned my face on the other side as he reached in front of me. "Then her professor has his own to pacify his favourite student." He cooed, holding my chin with his thumb and finger. As he turned my face to him, I pouted angrily. "Oh, really? So what are those ways ?" I sassed, removing his hand from my chin. As he abruptly grasped my bare waist, I shivered because of his touch. He lifted me from the floor and made me sit on the desk. We gazed into each other eyes passionately in utter silence, the only sound we could hear is our heartbeats. He started coming close to my lips, gazing into my eyes fondly. His warm breath caressing my face. Warning : This story will be hot and romantic.Complete

"So what's your type?" "What do you mean?" I pause, looking up from my book to meet the eyes of my dear friend. "Type of what?" She shakes her head with a chuckle. Her head then jerks to her boyfriend, busy trying to figure out a solution in his work. "What type of guy do you like?" "I don't really have one." I reply. "Come on, there must be something a guy does that catches your attention." My eyes casually glance around the courtyard, trying to figure out a quick response to her question. But then I hear a voice speak just to the right of us, Professor Abel happily talking to Mr. Levine. "Well?" "Older." I mumble. "Someone older." "Just older?" His deep grey eyes soften slightly in the sunlight. "Someone... colder too." "So you want someone as bad as Professor Abel?" My friend jokes poking my side with her fingers. I snap my head back to her, surprised at her question. To brush off the embarrassment I shrug my shoulders, faking a smile but my heart is pounding furiously. "Haha, very funny." It's as if our conversation has been leaked when my eyes rest back on the tall individual. The grey swirls are staring right back at me, his colleague oblivious of his wandering eyes. His expression is stern but in the light it seems as though his lips are curled up, making my stomach do a flip. "My type." This isn't related to this story but, Hi i'm Kate. this is my first fully written story, though its only a short story i'm very proud of myself for fully committing to one theme and finishing it. This short story is very over dramatic and complicated because its my first story but I hope you enjoy. Description: "What are your summer plans?" My teacher asks the class. My classmates respond with the basic responses, vacation, beach, and hanging out with friends. I respond with vacation, but I don't even want to go to Orange County. It's not too far from where I live, but Sana Cruz and OC is a long drive. The bell rings, that means it's summer, that means I have to spend a whole summer away and with my dad, but my friends and I have plans to go have a bonfire at the peer tonight so at least ill have that before I leave all summer.Complete

The entire class went quiet, their eyes bouncing between me and Ms. Lee. "Yes, ma'am?" I answered, standing up hesitantly. "Follow me," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument. She didn't even look at me as she slung her bag over her shoulder. "And carry this," she added, motioning to a stack of papers and a book she had left on her desk. I glanced at Woo-ri, who was giving me the most bewildered look. "Go," she mouthed silently, clearly curious but also worried. I walked over to Ms. Lee's desk, quickly grabbing her things. Turning to Woo-ri, I gave her a small wave. "I'll catch up with you later, Woo-ri," I said softly. "Go ahead without me." "You sure? Don't let her eat you alive!" she whispered dramatically, but I waved her off with a nervous smile. _ A professor and her student, drawn to each other in ways neither of them can explain. The boundaries are clear, but their emotions refuse to be ignored.
