This is the prologue to the new fantasy series, the Path of the Soulworker (working title). this is the backstory, that is shaping up into a story of its own.
Two brothers and their followers fled a dying land. they plunged into the unknown, rather than face certain death. Guided by Higher forces, they landed on the Shores of a distant world. Would their descendants learn from their cataclysmic mistakes?

Seeds of Sorcery
Prologue: The Prophecy In ancient times, it was said that a great power would arise, a power that would bring magic back to the forefront of the worlds. It was said that this power would be born of lightning and fire and that it would be wielded by a mage of great strength and courage. The world would face great upheaval and danger, but magic would be the key to survival. There will come those who will unite the kingdoms and empires, and they will bring an end to the darkness that has long shadowed the land. It was said that these mages would be the saviour of the worlds and that they would bring hope and light to all. But for many years, the prophecy remained unfulfilled. Magic seemed to be ending, few remained that could wield it. The darkness seemed to grow. The people slowly forgot and those that remembered lost hope, the kingdoms and empires fell and changed and with it brought chaos. But then, one day, a young girl was born in a small village far from the capital. She was born under the sign of lightning, and she had the power of magic within her. And so, the prophecy began. The first of them had arisen, and the journey to bring magic back had begun.
Erkenci Kuş: Broken Promises
Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!Terminé
A Day of Sorrow, The Tales of Old
A day like any other, turned to blood and misery in the blink of an eye. The soul devourers had been withheld for thousands of years, the residents beyond Riverin's walls growing comfortable. Their ignorance could be their downfall as everything crumbles. Even the veterans aren't prepared for an assault, underestimating their opponent. Carnade, born to another land, has found a home in Riverin. He's always known how great a threat the devourers were, but he never thought their first strike would be Riverin. Now he has to choose between protecting his family or the people he swore himself to. Derosai was born and raised in Riverin, dedicating her life to abolishing the soul devourer race from the face of Alatine. Everything she worked toward. Everything her and her husband planned could be torn away. Her husband believes their son to be the key to ending the devourer blight and if he perishes, there won't be anyone to stop the second dark war. Alithium was born to another world, frozen and far from Riverin. Unlikely events destroy everything she holds dear, tearing her away from the only home she's ever known by thrusting her into a foreign land. One of heat and despair. She soon finds out how unwelcoming man can be, taken into a city on the brink of destruction. Her only goal is to escape. Their problems, man or devourer... it didn't concern her. It was supposed to be a quick job, in and out, no problems. Accidentally freeing a high profile prisoner on her way out and subsequently discovering an evil scheme, was not part of the plan. Suddenly, it's her own face that Kaia finds on the front of a wanted poster. Forced to work together, she and the fugitive are on the run until they find a way to figure out the big picture. But that is not her only worry. She needs to deal with the situation fast, or her overprotective twin will find out and come looking for her. And that is an even more frightening prospect than running from a villain who wants to see her dead. - A novel version of the story will be updated under "Runic Domination".
