December 31st and everybody has made this list of unattainable goals to reach because it's a new year. I'm fixing to go to the gym at least three times a week, I'm loosing 10 lbs, I'm going to dump my no good boyfriend if he doesn't change by (pick a date), I'm going to change my friends, I'm going to school, I'm changing my career. These all seem pretty reachable but those are the game goal that you set for yourself last December 31st for the new year. You set yourself up to fail. Failure is never an option. Instead look back on all the things that went wrong or right and continue on that path to change. If you didn't loose weight, why not? If you didn't go to the gym, why not? If you still are surrounded by the same leechy friends or with the same cheating boyfriend, why? If you got a raise or made straight A's, how? Revealing the need to change or expansion is what should be the goal of the new year. What is your why? Reveal it and go for it. Stop giving yourself a reason to fail.
