A few months after Mason's crazy dream, things started to change not just in school, but in New England. People came down with a bacterial infection, went into a coma, then were back to normal. At least, that's what I thought.

[Book 3] People say things can change drastically in just a couple years. I couldn't agree more. In just a few years I went from a regular kid in high school, to Ruler of a zombie species. Of course for everyone else, it was much more than a few years, it was three hundred to be precise. The infection starts out simple, the white of their eyes turn blood red, then the iris turns yellow, and then the pupil turns white. In this process of their eye changing colors they slowly lose their minds and become zombie like. Lucky is in one hell of a ride when the infection hits her town, and she loses everyone important to her. Will she make it through, or lose her mind in the process.Complete

The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead.
