Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat had been friends since freshman year. But Alex was popular and Jack was the nerd. Jack is in love with Alex but would never admit it thinking that Alex is straight. Alex, who was a ladies man, an athlete, a singer, and popular, could've left Jack long ago. But he kept him around for one reason: Alex was falling for him, but he'd never admit it.
