James Carter and Anthony Callaway are the kings of the school, at least until Lynn Thomas arrived.  Driving James out of his bad boy vibe that he developed in third grade after an attack on a girl in his class.  Anthony becomes worried for his friend, he is changing because of this girl.  And the only way to bring his friend back is to tell someone about Lynn.  He has seen James and Lynn together, and has noticed Lynn has the same personality as Grace Morgan, a girl who was kidnapped in third grade.  If Anthony tells someone that, Lynn could get injured by her attackers, or taken away by the police to be kept "safe."  Either way, James's heart will break.  At least if Anthony is right.  If not, he will be the one who gets hurt.
