[ON HOLD]

A ticking time bomb had been placed so silently,
so secretly,
within his mind.
Waiting so impatiently
for days
for the last three seconds
to go
tick,
tick,
TICK.
Then as the last second
would silently slip from his weakening grip
his pettily abused mind
would silently crumble.
Vanishing within itself.

Within his sad mind was a battle.
A battle in which
both sides were
both winning
and losing.
Like every battle it would end.
Eventually.
Every battle ends at some point in time.
With one victor.
And one mostly dead.

But his feelings had begun to fight back so strong at the last moment
when his pride had taken a powerful first strike.
And before the last second of the metaphorical bomb
slipped away
his feelings had crushed his pride with
five words.
And these five words shook his pride
until it crumbled.
'Who cares if I care?'

And before his pride could rise back in vengeance
InuYasha leaped
And he wished he would have sooner.

At first Emmy wants nothing more than to forget her chilling new reality - but her admirer isn't finished with her yet, and before she knows it, Emmy's stuck in a nightmare she can't dance her way out of.
