In the far north, in an ancient forest there are packs of ancient wolves who have been blessed by the Moon Goddess to walk the world as man or beast. An unknown enemy is hunting and killing the Ancients. Nyx, her twin brother Sorin and their pack managed to seek safety in the forest of their birth. There in the forest under the safety of the Moon's Shadow Nyx's life and that of the pack will be changed forever. Will the stay safe in the forest or will the enemy win?

Nyx was the goddess of the night and Aether was the god of the light, their paths crossing only at dawn and dusk. Somehow, they fell in love and had a set of triplets. Some of the gods feared the children and some were overjoyed. As Nyx was giving birth, her brother, Erebus bestowed the gift of darkness on each of the three babies.
