When Lightning Strikes

This is a story my best friend and I are writing. 15-year old Claire has been abused by her family and the people at school for many years, but no longer. Her and two friends are about to make the greatest escape of their lives. They seek a new life in the woods until Claire's father tracks them down. Despite the pain her father inflicts in her, people want to help Claire overcome his power. Now there will be a war between them...
