I'm sitting here, hoping my body language is hostile enough to make the man back off. He smiles and tilts his head, studying me. "What's your name?" He questions, his green eyes never left my blue ones. 

The ghosts behind him scream and wail, their faces contorting as if in pain. "Lie!" One wails, before everyone else takes up with chant. "Lilly" I choked out, glancing at him nervously. How did I get here? It's a long story. 

"Nice to meet you Lilly." He said, grinning. It was the grin of a snake who had trapped a mouse. "Can you tell me what you can do?" I swallowed hard, my hands tightened on the chair. "I can see ghosts."

'Lily?' He said quietly. I didn't respond. I hoped he thought I was sleeping. Even though I doubted I'd be getting much sleep. I had far too much on my mind to switch off. I was finding it so hard to concentrate on what I was supposed to be doing when I was so consumed with guilt. I eventually replied. 'I...' He began. But a long silence hung in the air, as though he was thinking what to say next. 'Good night.' He said with a sigh. Whatever it was he was going to say, I doubted it had been just 'goodnight'. That had been my queue to speak up. But I couldn't. I was still too ashamed of what I'd done to face it.

From the split between my legs, down, the table divided and split in two, opening my core and causing me to do a full split. Brody smiled while the tears rushed back with a vengeance. I've never felt this open, this susceptible, this completely...naked, in every sense. What was happening to me was the root of all nightmares. I truly believe that Brody and his evil rogue followers are demons from the darkest pits of Hell. "But they can look all they want." All the other men in the room rushed to the side of the room where they got the best view of my open center. "Why am I allowing you to move again, you ask?" He muttered sarcastically. 'You can see me!' I screamed in amazement, too distracted to realize he insulted me. 'Sweet heavens! He can see me!' 'I think we've already established that baby doll.' He rolled his eyes. His condescending tone coupled with the patronizing look that had "you are crazy" written all over it was enough to snap me out of the temporary state of euphoria. __________________ Four little words. Very simple words that changed my existence and gave me hope for the first time in over two hundred years. Someone could see me. He could see me! Now I just have to figure out a way to convince the biggest jerk I know to help me lift a two hundred year old curse. Piece of cake.

It was Friday night or Saturday morning I think. But I was was awoken by some snoring. It was loud. I thought it was my broken alarm clock that made a deep alarm but when I opened my eyes I froze. Next to me I saw a huge Black thing that was furry and had huge crooked sticks pointing to the other side. It took up the whole other side of my room. I quietly shuffled out of my bed, put my foot on the carpet and tried not to make noise. My door was closed so I tried to open it but it made a creak. There were two neon green lights glowing. At me.
