I'm sitting here, hoping my body language is hostile enough to make the man back off. He smiles and tilts his head, studying me. "What's your name?" He questions, his green eyes never left my blue ones. 

The ghosts behind him scream and wail, their faces contorting as if in pain. "Lie!" One wails, before everyone else takes up with chant. "Lilly" I choked out, glancing at him nervously. How did I get here? It's a long story. 

"Nice to meet you Lilly." He said, grinning. It was the grin of a snake who had trapped a mouse. "Can you tell me what you can do?" I swallowed hard, my hands tightened on the chair. "I can see ghosts."

"I could tell father and..." "You wouldn't" Dalton says with his stupid grin I havent seen seance we were pups. I lean in "Maybe, maybe not, who knows what might slip, Alt. You know I'm bad at keeping secrets." "NO! Come on please. I don't want to lose my position. (or my life) You wouldn't do that to me would you Lil?" I got him. As soon as I heard my name slip his lips I knew I'd won. "Tit for tat Alt. I keep your secret you keep mine. Now, I AM going for a run." Dalton rolls his eyes and reclaims his position at my door. "One hour" he says "or I'll tell your father myself!"

My mind keeps going everywhere... I hear stuff in my head, I see the room spinning as I start to get up from my bed. All gray or faded colors spread across it. Blood on my walls, very weird how they haven't gave me a different room. I look around and I see my door open and a guy covered in tattoos at the door step. "Let them sing" he said in a raspy voice. "I'll try..." I respond, but as I blink he has disappeared and my door is closed. I look at the window as I notice it's covered in bars. Outside is my fear, my fear of being seen. As I look far in the woods I see him again. He moved his lips as I read them. He said something like 'wait for me, and I'll see you' I think. That was what I last remembered before I blacked out.

He laughed sourly. 'Sorry.' I whispered. 'De ja vu.' I told him. It was just like the time is woken up in hospital all those years ago with Dan beside me. I had so many questions but no brain capacity to ask just yet. I wanted to go back to sleep. And that's what I did.

"I-I'm not a wimp!" I stumbled on my words. "Yey!" Diana said happily and rushed toward me with her arms open. "I'll buy you McDonalds after this." I hugged her, even though I wasn't happy. I looked at the time. 12.20am

She beamed at him, saying that they would be great friends. She seized his hand and began tugging him toward the woods behind the cottage, shouting to Ivy and his mother, "We won't go far! 'Lily?' He said quietly. I didn't respond. I hoped he thought I was sleeping. Even though I doubted I'd be getting much sleep. I had far too much on my mind to switch off. I was finding it so hard to concentrate on what I was supposed to be doing when I was so consumed with guilt. Every time he looked at me with those kind blue eyes, all I could think about was how much I must've hurt him. I had walked away without ever looking back, no explanation, nothing but a sorry note. How he could cope without wanting to kill me I'd never know. I guessed the kindest thing I could do was at least stop ignoring him and stop treating him like he'd done something wrong. 'Yeah?' I eventually replied. 'I...' He began. But a long silence hung in the air, as though he was thinking what to say next. 'Good night.' He said with a sigh. Whatever it was he was going to say, I doubted it had been just 'goodnight'. That had been my queue to speak up. But I couldn't. I was still too ashamed of what I'd done to face it.
