To enter high school is hard enough; what with sports, girls/boys and of course homework. Couple you're regular teen angst with a horrible tragedy that leaves you physically and emotionally scarred that's the life of Zach Monroe when his parents are murdered just before he begins his freshman year by an unknown assailant. Then there's Kimberly Adams the beautiful apple of Zach's eye who happens to be the daughter of his soon-to-be high school principal who (but wasn't even going to that school) gets wrapped in the chaos of Zach's life bringing her into a world of love she never knew existed.
