Thea Emerson has always been afraid of the ocean. After nearly drowning when she was younger, she refuses to step foot back into the ocean's waves. She's just not willing to make that risk.

Until she moves to Hollis Cove.

When Thea moves to the beautiful coastal town just in time to start her senior year, she is not only drawn to the ocean's waves but to a boy who spends most of his time in them. She finds herself wanting to go into the water, as if its actually calling out her name.

And then in a split second mistake, Thea finds out the truth. Will isn't human. At least, not completely. He has fins and a claim to the underwater thrown. As she explores Will's real home beneath the tide, she finds everything about it to be unsettling familiar.

And when she remembers the truth...her life will change forever.
