Smile, Dan
DISCLAIMER: This story is mature because it will have some self harm in it. It will also have some swearing due to that's how Dan actually talks. This is not about Phan being real. I'm sorry to disappoint you. Now onto what it is really about: Dan Howell is becoming more and more depressed. His family, his community, not even his best friend, Phil Lester, can help him. He believes he's a lost cause, and he's a mistake. He tries to hide it best he can, but some nights, it's just too much. During this, he's lost his will to smile. He'll fake smiles for videos and pictures, but he's lost a reason to genuinely smile.Complete

'"You must remember me?" Dan asked in disbelief, still clinging onto the cuff of my sleeve. "You must, Phil, you must!" I shook my head in a wordless shock. "No, I-I don't." After a terrible car accident, Phil is left with no memories of his best friend nor the time they spent together and it is up to Dan to make him remember... or create new memories. Will the geeky, funny and broken Dan Howell be able to convince Phil of their unbreakable friendship, or will the creative, childish and funny Phil Lester leave Dan forever? Prompt: “With Schools AUs it’s always Badboy!Phil with Nerd!Dan or Badboy!Dan with Nerd!Phil. That about a fic where both are bad, and meet behind the bike shed for a smoke, or both are nerds, and meet in the library.” (I went with both are bad) Summary: Dan Howell is one of the most popular kids in school, with a badboy reputation to uphold. On the day that he meets the new boy, Phil Lester, who seems just as bad as himself, they become friends almost immediately. But as one thing leads to another, Dan isn't so sure if he and Phil are just friends, or more? Overall warnings: swearing, mentions of drugs, smoking, drinking, strong homophobic slur, domestic abuse, mild smut, violence, emotional manipulationComplete![There Are No Grey Piano Keys [Phan]](https://img.wattpad.com/cover/85644143-256-k836129.jpg)
