It's 2020 and technologies have upgraded and diseases have been cured. The world is at it's peak and happiness is everywhere. But just like stories, after the climax there is the falling action. Somehow, a mysterious disease rises out of nowhere and infects people. Chaos breaks out and a group of teenagers are in the middle of it. Confused and scared, they have no idea what to do.
But they do know one thing, and that is to: Survive.
In the middle of it all is Lux, she's been in love with her childhood crush Kai. As she and a group of others try to find a cure, will she also be able to find love?

Every person now lives in fear of the mutated beings, Creepers, that come alive at night, devouring anything with a beating heart. Lizzy is no stranger to the affects of the virus. Her father and the love of her life were both taken from her and turned into the deranged monsters that lurk outside the dome. But when the president announces that they have found a serum that could repel the infection, Lizzy knows better than to hope. She wants nothing to do with the virus. But when she's drafted as one of the four to go and receive the serum, Lizzy has no choice but to accept. Going past the dome, walking thousands of miles through Creeper-infested ruins, then bringing back a serum that may not even work? It's a death sentence. But what other choice does she have? In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. But with the clock ticking, Charlotte's new found family may just end up like her own, dead and destroyed, if Emmi is exposed to the disease that her father tried so hard to protect her from.Complete

Sanctuary. That was what the quarantine dome was supposed to be, a place of refuge from the N-Gel and the deadly Neoplague they unleashed on the world. But we aren't safe here. Senna is uprooted from her rural life in the outer dome when her mother agrees to marry the President of Sanctuary. It was supposed to be a Cinderella story, but Senna can't stand the health and status obsessed city. Her only escape comes from repairing an antique piece of wireless tech, an endeavor that is seemingly hopeless due to the interference that reduced such tech useless after the invasion. Senna believes that if she can get the device to work, she can use it to contact the life she left behind. However, it isn't her old life she reaches when she gets the device to power on. Instead she catches the SOS of a little girl who claims to be held captive in the toxic world outside of the dome. The girl offers a reward for her rescue-the cure for the plague that forced humanity into quarantine and took Senna's father from her.
