The world... as we know it, has come to an end. The air now holds a disturbing silence. The animals of the land roam free, nature now claims the multitude of the world, and the undead walk the earth. They feast upon the flesh of those few lucky survivors... Unlucky. Survivors stick together in this desolated wasteland mostly in small groups, keeping their distance from these dead ones; These Blanks. What is left here? It seems that there is in fact no hope for Mankind. One survivor, John blaire, bunkers down with a relatively large group of a couple hundred people; His brother and lifelong friends among them. Everything seems to be better than when shit hit the fan. The Community is plentiful with guns and ammo, military rations and safety. Everything seems... Peaceful, but with the constant flow of new people joining the Community, it's becoming more and more troublesome to supply high demand. With food and clean water running low, tough decisions have to be made. When they accept a new comer in, evil begins to seep into their lives. Conspiracies revealed, blood spilt, frustration and anger unleashed. Everything they've built in this undead world is falling apart. John won't give up so easily. He'll do everything in his power to save his brother and those he loves, but can he do it without spilling blood himself.

It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice.
