Nina Dermawan, anak kedua dari keluarga yang bisa dibilang cukup kaya. Ayahnya seorang direktur di sebuah perusahan di Jakarta dan Ibunya seorang pengusaha sukses. Kakaknya yang bernama Olive lulus dari sebuah universitas terkemuka di singapore di bidang akuntansi, dan sekarang bekerja menjadi seorang manager di salah satu perusahan di singapore. Ini tahun kedua Nina berada di jenjang perkuliahan. Di kampusnya, dia dikenal sangat pandai dan sesuai dengan last namenya, dia sangat ramah dan dermawan. Di kelas, Nina mempunyai 3 orang sahabat, Mira Felicia dan Alice.
Okay, back to the Nina's family. Nina punya seorang adik laki-laki. Namanya Miko. Miko duduk di bangku sekolah menengah pertama.
Cerita ini berawal dengan mimpi buruk. Ya, Nina orangnya paranoid. Dia tidak pernah menonton film horror. Sampai suatu ketika, dia diajak oleh ketiga sahabatnya untuk menonton film horror di bioskop. Karena tidak ingin mengecewakan ketiga sahabatnya itu, Nina memberanikan diri dan menyetujui untuk ikut dengan mereka.
Selang 2 minggu terakhir, Nina terus memimpikan film horror itu. Dia ketakutan dan sering terbangun berulang-ulang kali di malam hari.
Saat liburan tengah semester, Nina dan keluarganya berlibur ke Singapore sekaligus menjenguk kakaknya yang bekerja disana. Masih mengenai hal yang sama, "Mimpi buruk".
Kakak Nina yang bernama Olive itu menyarankan untuk membeli yang namanya dreamcatcher, ya selain sedang booming katanya juga penangkap mimpi itu memang benar.
Saat sedang mencari dreamcatcher di sebuah toko, oops ..
