Getting to go to NEW YORK and getting to compete in a real life FASHION SHOW?! Marinette's life was finally turning around, except for the Adrien part. Excited and desperate to get started, she had forgotten about Hawk Moth. Who could blame her since it had been over 2 weeks since his last akuma had evilized anyone.
