When the town of Argent Grove is struck by the strange disappearance of local teenager Ethan Malloup, two siblings find themselves at the heart of the investigation. Rose and Tansy Maverick were the only close confidants of the presumed-dead boy. As they try to maneuver their way through mourning and learning to live without Ethan, they realize something much more menacing than a potential-murderer has made its home in Argent Grove.

Hidden behind rusting barb-wired fences and tall pine trees, the private land beside the Mavericks' property conceals legends the citizens of Argent Grove have refused to acknowledge for centuries. Unfortunately for the siblings, the monsters may have already sunk their teeth into the town's heart.
